What we can term as utter negligence and laxity, the Pili River has almost turned into a dumping yard. The river has turned into a garbage dump in the Vandevi Nagar culvert complex of the Pili River. The carcass of cattle has also been found in the river. And the problem of mosquitoes has also increased.
These are already posing a threat to the health of the citizens. However; the administration has not taken any proactive measures to solve the problem by cleaning the river. Local citizens stated that the water flow is blocked by the plants situated on the banks of the river. Due to this a pile of garbage gets dumped in the river. And the water of the river has become contaminated. All these factors affecting the river and it will soon take the shape of the drain, if not taken any proper action.
