Taking this a step further, Storytel has developed a mobile app called ‘AudioBites’, which will make hundreds of books available to its listeners for free or reasonable subscription cost . The newest version of this app has recently been launched on Google Play Store.
‘AudioBites’ was conceptualized in an effort to bring something unique for the new generation. It currently includes several books predominantly in Marathi, Hindi, and English. Books in more languages will be added to the collection in the future.
Speaking about the app, Yogesh Dashrath, Country Manager, Storytel India said, “Seeing the demand for audiobooks, and the interest for reading, we aim to reach common people with this concept. In order to give them the ultimate audiobook experience, we have come up with two features ‘Freemium’ and ‘Premium’. With the ‘Freemium’ feature, listeners can listen to the first three parts of any audio series for free, and if they want to listen to the rest, they can opt for the premium subscription. The subscription cost is ₹49/- per month or 99/- for three months.â€
On AudioBites, users can listen to audiobooks and series that are popular on Storytel at a reasonable prices. In the newest version of the app, books have been categorized according to standards and classes with the comfort of school children in mind. Through this, parents can easily find the relevant books according to their child’s class. Apart from that, timeless literature works in Marathi are also available for the parents. With these new updates, users of any age can find what they like on AudioBites.
Users will be able to enjoy personality development, children’s literature, biographies, fiction, and timeless literary works. Additionally, different works across genres are available in the form of stories, novels, poems, audio series, and podcasts. AudioBites also includes literary works and books narrated by eminent artists for an enhanced experience for its users.
