The Second Capital of the State witnessed more than 2k recoveries on second consecutive day on wednesday with 3717 fresh COVID-19 positive cases in the day.
Today the district registered once again reported 40 deaths due to the global pandemic. In the day, total 2098 persons successfully recovered from the infection.
From the total positive cases today, 2932 were reported from the city while 782 were reported from rural area. After today update, the total count of active cases now stands at 33572. The recovery rate improves to 81.17 percent.
With the latest update the total cases have surged to 203488 while the number of deaths have reached 4737. A sum of 165179 persons have been successfully treated with the Coronavirus in the district.
It is pertinent to mention that amid an alarming spike in COVID-19 cases in the city, the District Administration has decided to extend lockdown in Nagpur which will remain in effect till March 31.
