City’s international umpire Ulhas Gandhe has been appointed as the match official for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The IPL is scheduled to be held from April 9 at different venues in the country.
Gandhe will be leaving for Chennai on March 31. He will have to undergo COVID protocol tests followed by a quarantine period. This is Gandhe’s fourth successive stint as an IPL Official. Last year also Gandhe, who is also a former Vidarbha Ranji Trophy player, officiated at IPL which was held in United Arab Emirates.
He also officiated in Women’s Challenger Series (IPL) including the finals. Gandhi thanked BCCI, VCA and his employer Accountant General Office (A&E), Maharashtra, Nagpur for their support.
