Cityâ€™s international umpire Ulhas Gandhe has been appointed as the match official for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The IPL is scheduled to be held from April 9 at different venues in the country.
Gandhe will be leaving for Chennai on March 31. He will have to undergo COVID protocol tests followed by a quarantine period. This is Gandheâ€™s fourth successive stint as an IPL Official. Last year also Gandhe, who is also a former Vidarbha Ranji Trophy player, officiated at IPL which was held in United Arab Emirates.
He also officiated in Womenâ€™s Challenger Series (IPL) including the finals. Gandhi thanked BCCI, VCA and his employer Accountant General Office (A&E), Maharashtra, Nagpur for their support.
