The message viral on social media,- “please avoid visiting shops in Golulpeth and Dharampeth, Sitabuldi area in Nagpur, Every other shopkeeper and house in every lane is infected. 60 per cent shopkeepers are positive yet they have kept shops open selling essentials and daily needsâ€.
The message seems to be true to greater extent as Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has released list of zone wise hot spots in the city. In the second wave of Corona, West part of the city, or in city’s common language other side of the Loha Pul, is more affected by Corona virus.
Dharampeth Zone has the highest number of hot spot or containment zones, followed by Dhantoli Zone, Laxmi Nagar Zone is on third place and Lakadganj Zone is on the fourth position out of the ten zones in the city. Zone 1 Laxmi Nagar has 23 hot spots or containment area, Dharampeth Zone 2 has the highest 28 hot spot or containment zone, Zone 3 Hanuman Nagar has 23 hot spot, Dhantoli Zone 4 has 26 hot spots, which is second highest, Nehru Nagar Zone 5 is having minimum number of hot spots. There are only 8 containment zone in Nehru Nagar, Gandhibagh Zone 6 has 11 hot spot, Satranjipura Zone 7 has 12 hot spots, Lakadganj Zone 8 is having 19 hot spots, Ashi Nagar Zone 9 has 14 hot spot and Mangalwari Zone 10 has 11 hot spot or containment zones.
Close contact with the infected persons or super spreaders must be avoided. Similarly visiting hot spot should also be avoided as per the guidelines. But it is observed that people are not conscious about the increasing number of patients daily. The fact that there is no bed for a positive patient in the hospital, and no place to burn the dead body in the crematorium is disturbing, so utmost care and precaution must be taken. Following the Government slogan ‘I Am Responsible’, is also appealed to the people on social media.
