Due to the upward trajectory of COVID cases and the non-availability of beds in hospitals in the city people are turning more towards home remedies and Ayurvedic treatment. Dr. Pradnya Meshram’s Ayurvedic formula is one such Kaadha that has recently grabbed a lot of attention of people looking to strengthen their immunity and win the fight against the novel coronavirus.
Dr. Meshram’s Kadha which was first located in North Nagpur had attracted a huge crowd due to which Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) had to shut down the distribution of the Kaadha as it was violating COVID norms. Later considering it’s demand the Kaadha center was reopened at Dragon Palace Kamptee by Adv Sulekha Kumbhare, former Maharashtra Minister and President of Bahujan Republic Ekta Manch (BREM).
On Monday, around five thousand people gathered at the Dragon Palace Temple from morning 5 am for the kaadha. Looking at the huge crowd and keeping all pandemic SOP’s, the local administration of Kamptee Tehsil and Police Inspector, closed the distribution of Kaadha after taking press conference on the second day, Informed Arvind Hinge, Tehsilder Kamptee, Vijay Malwe, Police Inspector Kamptee, and Sanjay Mendhe, Police Inspector Juni Kamptee Police Station along with senior officers.
Now Adv Sulekha Kumbhare, has challenged the local administration here in Kamptee that if the distribution is not resumed in two days, she will launch a hunger strike. Adv Kumbhare stated that when people are not getting beds in the hospital, Kaadha has helped people to fight the virus, so it must not be stopped.
Meanwhile, the administration said that the only reason to shut the distribution of Kaadha is that it is attracting a huge crowd in which the deadly virus carriers are also coming. This increases the risk of virus contagion and therefore it needs to be closed.
Dr. Pradnya Meshram is an Ayurvedic postgraduate and has been practicing for many years. Her kaadha is famous as an immunity booster and is available for Rs 150 only. The powder has to be divided into three equal portions. One portion is to be taken daily. The powder is to be boiled in one glass of water until it reduces to one teacup. Lemon juice, ginger juice, and honey (for non-diabetic) and turmeric powder one teaspoon is to be added before consuming it. Those who have taken the kaadha, while talking to The Live Nagpur informed that it’s just an immunity booster. People who have taken it were infected by the virus and are now believed to be free from it.
