The number of new cases and recoveries are competing with each other in Nagpur district. The district on Friday once again registered a new record of single-day spike with 7,485 testings positive for the novel coronavirus.
The recovery rate registered a marginal improvement from 77.40 per cent on Thursday to 77.64 per cent on Friday. Meanwhile, 82 succumbed to COVID-19 today. Out of the total 54 were residents of the city while 20 were reported from the rural areas. With this, the cumulative death has reached 6767.
On Friday, a total of 6,531 patients recovered. They included patients in-home quarantine too. The cumulative number of recoveries rose to 2,78,302. As per the official data released on Friday, as many as 7,485 tested positive for COVID-19, including 4,879 from Nagpur city and 2,598 from rural areas of the district. With these new cases, the cumulative total of patients recorded in the district so far rose to 3,58,418. After today’s update, the active cases of Nagpur district now stand at 73,349.
