SVK Shikshan Sanstha, Nagpur in association with CRC, Nagpur (Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment), recently organised a National Webinar on Narrative Story Telling as a Therapy for Teachers, Special Educators and Parents of People with Disabilities.
Narrative therapy is a style of therapy that helps people become and embrace being an expert in their own lives. In narrative therapy, there is an emphasis on the stories we develop and carry with us through our lives.
Mrs.Anita Nahar, Director Rainbow Montessori Training Academy and the Special Guest of the webinar, presented a creative Story Telling video and highlighted the advantages of Story Telling, like Cognitive and Creative development through stories. She further spoke about the role of aids or props in story telling.
Mrs Gayathri Vatsalya, President SVK Shikshan Sanstha and Guest Speaker highlighted the healing process through Narrative Story Telling as a Therapy.She further urged the Participants to use Narrative Story Telling to handle and fix the emotional and behavioral issues of Differently Abled people. She explained various types of stories, the three “T” methods of story telling etc
