Std XI admissions, Students, Teachers support CET exam

Optional Questions Increased by CBSE for Class 10th, 12th | Nagpur News

Education department recently conducted a survey which stated that the students and teachers are in support of conducting entrance test for the Standard XI admissions as the SSC exam has been cancelled in the state. The teachers have also stated that the opinion of CET for Standard XI admissions will be useful as the evaluation of SSC students is not possible this year. In view of the increasing outbreak of Covid-19,the State Government decided to cancel the SSC exam this year.

The education department commenced an online survey in regard to the CET exam. Seventy percent of the students who participated in this survey have supported in this survey. An expert committee had suggested that an alternative entrance test as a solution to it. But there are many queries like how the exam will be conducted during pandemic. Total number of marks of CET, subjects and nature of syllabus are still not clear. It is being believed that the education department will go ahead with the option of CET as a result of the survey is positive. The students have no other option than to study if they want admissions in the good colleges
