After the low response to coaches made by the railways for coronavirus patients, there is a demand to shift these coaches to rural areas. As we know the number of Covid-19 patients is increasing in city. As the patients were not getting beds, the Nagpur Division of Central Railway made necessary changes in the railway coaches and set up a 176-bed Covid Care Centre. These coaches were transferred to Municipal Corporation.
The coach was then placed at Ajni’s container depot. But as it is a secluded place, it is learnt that patient’s do not go the place. So far only 30 patients have been treated in the coach. Therefore, if these coaches are sent to rural areas, it is expected that the patients there will benefit from it.
