As Nagpur Municipal Corporation has given relaxation to certain activities in the city owing to the fewer daily cases of COVID-19 now Private Coaching Classes organization has also requested Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari and Radhakrishnan B, Commissioner NMC to allow them to operate with 50 per cent of attendance.
They pleaded that like other business activities were given permission to work, similarly coaching classes are operated by educated unemployed. Even it is more shocking that when cinema hall is allowed to operate with 50 per cent capacity, why private coaching classes are not permitted to start their coaching. Coaching classes must also be permitted to operate with 50 per cent capacity. When permission is given to gym and indoor sports activities, coaching classes must also be given permission to operate.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began schools, education institutes were ordered to be shut as the cases were on the rise in both the waves. Schools and education institutes were only allowed to take classes via online mode for the safety of children
Coaching classes play a big role in shaping the career of a student, like school and college. The faculties of the tutorials are also facing financial crises. They don’t have any other source of income. Coaching classes are paying 18 per cent of GST and they do not receive any grant from the Government, like schools and colleges. They also assured to follow all the Covid norms while running the classes. Present on the occasion were Sachin Gajbhiye, President, Dilip Thakre, Secretary, Sanjay Barde, Treasurer and other members.
