Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University is organising a national seminar on ‘Cyber awareness and Cyber discipline in institution of higher education’ on June 28.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr Subhash Chaudhari informed media persons that the seminar is being organised, as efforts to defame the university is being done on social media. The students should made aware of the ill-intensions of the mischievers.
The seminar will be inaugurated by Deputy Director General of Police from Gadchiroli Sandip Patil, at 10.30 am. The first technical session on ‘Why cyber security is important for students?’, will be addressed by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Cell, Mumbai, Dr Rashmi Karandikar at 11 am. Dr Ashok Bagul , Senior Superintendent of Police will speak on ‘Cyber safety, Literacy and Recent Trends in Cyber Crime, Sextortion’.
The subject ‘Social media handle and Cyber awareness’ will be dealt with by Sanjay Shintre, Superintendent, Cyber Crime, Mumbai. The next session on ‘Cyber awareness in on-line education and examination, Cyber discipline during on-line examination during Covid pandemic’ will have speaker Dr Ashish Badhiye, professor in Forensic Science.
The concluding function will be chaired by Pro-VC Dr Sanjay Dudhe. DCP, Zone-II Vinita Sahu will be the chief guest.
