The management of Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoo Project started Indian safari at the park from Tuesday to Sunday at 8.30 am and 4.45 pm for tourists, following issuance of guidelines by Nagpur Municipal Corporation in respect of coronavirus pandemic recently.
A press note issued by P B Panchbhai, Divisional Manager, Gorewada Project, on Friday said that the safari would be open for tourists on Monday (August 16), being government holiday. However, it will be closed next day ie Tuesday. A facility of ‘Phone Pe’ is made available for tourists for booking. The online booking facility is not available now in view of bad road condition during monsoon. The management will provide online booking facility to tourists from September month, he added.
Panchbhai pointed out that it had come to notice that many fake websites were prepared about Gorewada park and appealed to tourists not to believe in them. The official website of Gorewada Project is: www.wildgorewada.com on which the management will provide online booking facility to tourists from next month. Facility of cafeteria/canteen is available at entry plaza hence tourists should not bring outside food/snacks etc., he added.
