Shipra Shivkumar Yadav has been awarded with PhD by RTM Nagpur University in Computer Science. The subject of her research was ‘Study of Security tools and techniques used in Cloud Computing‘.
Shipra published several papers on Cloud Computing security in reputed journal and attended International and national conferences.
Cloud Computing is a set of resources or services offered through the internet to the user on their demand by Cloud providers. As each and every organization is shifting its data to the cloud, there is a need to protect data against unauthorized access, modification or denial of services.
Shipra’s research is on Cryptographic key management that does not rely on any argument protocol computational assumption but utilizes the minimal amount of shared knowledge that the communicating party posses. She has constructed the first such protocol to run with multilevel Encryption and Decryption Algorithm. Cloud Computing can become more secure using Cryptographic algorithms. Cryptography is the art of keeping message secure by converting the data into non-readable form. The existing cryptography algorithms are single level encryption algorithms. Cyber Crime can easily crack single level encryption. Hence a system which uses multilevel encryption and decryption to provide more security for cloud storage has been proposed.
It is expected that using multilevel encryption will provide more security for cloud storage compared to using single level encryption.
With the help of undergraduates under her supervision, she developed an implementation of the protocol that demonstrated its applicability in practice.
The research was carried out under the supervision of Dr Keshao D. Kalaskar, Dr S. J. Dhoble, Dr C.G.Dethe , Dr P.K.Butey, Dr Satish Sharma and Dr Pankaj Dhumane .
