In view of the possible third wave of coronavirus, under the ‘Mission Vaccination’ campaign, 200 vaccination vehicles will be provided to Nagpur and Amravati divisions on Friday, August 20.
The inauguration ceremony will be held on August 20 at Divisional Sports Complex Mankapur in presence of Chief Minister Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat, Union Minister of Road and Transport Nitin Gadkari, Guardian Minister Nitin Raut, President of Vidarbha Sahayata Society.
With an aim to boost the vaccination process and provide vaccination facilities at doorsteps the initiative has been implemented for those who are unable to get out of bed. For this along with 200 vaccination vehicles primary health centers in each taluka are being provided.
In addition to vaccinations, the medical staff of the health center will be reaching out to senior citizens, pregnant women as well as in case of emergencies.
In Nagpur and Amravati divisions, 94 lakh 14 thousand 820 people have been vaccinated till August 15. The first dose has been taken by 72 lakh 81 thousand 665 citizens while the second dose has been taken by 24 lakh 53 thousand 440 citizens. The Mission Vaccination Campaign is being implemented in Nagpur and Amravati divisions to fulfill the objective of vaccination.
