A constable of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) saved the life of a man at the Nagpur railway station on Thursday, an official said. The incident took place on Platform Number 3 when the passenger, in an attempt to board a moving train, slipped, fell and got dragged by the train as he hung on to the door handle.
The incident took place at Nagpur railway station Thursday at 9.30pm.
RPF jawan Munesh Gautam was patrolling on platform No 3, when train number 02170 was coming at the platform. A passen ger tried to board the run ning train.
Munesh Gautam saw this, he shouted and asked the passenger not to board the train. Till then the passenger slipped and his leg was hanging between the train and the narrow space between the platform.
Munesh Gautam rushed towards the passenger and pulled him out. RPF com mandant Ahsutosh Pandey praised Munesh for his work.
