Nagpur Guardian Minister Dr Nitin Raut on Monday has directed Metro management to provide space to old book sellers in between Zero Mile and Variety square in order to enable them earn livelihood.
These book sellers are making business for last many years and hence they should not be put at loss.
Research and competitive examination students and others purchase old books from this place, he pointed out.
He was addressing a meeting at Collectorate to listen to grievances of the book sellers.
Collector Vimla R, Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B, Anil Kokate Executive Director of Metro and Naresh Wahane, President Nagpur Pustak Vikreta Kalyankari Sanstha were present in the meeting.
Dr Raut said, a 20 storeyed building of Metro is coming up at ‘Freedom Park’ and asked the management to make available 1010, or 108 feet alternate space to these book owners. He said that he would take review in this regard after 15 days.
