Energy minister of Maharashtra and guardian minister of Nagpur district Dr Nitin Raut said here on Monday that thrust would be laid on creating a network of underground power transmission lines in the city.
He was speaking at a programme to inaugurate 132kv underground power line connecting Pardi to Jat Tarodi.
He said after 132kv Jat Tarodi substation is unveiled, the load on Pardi, Besa and Uppalwadi sub stations would be reduced.
He further informed that work on 12 feeders of 33 kv from Jat Tarodi substation is also proposed. He said that 133kv sub-station would be extremely useful for Mahavitran since it would be located in the heart of the city.
This sub-station would supply uninterrupted power supply with correct load to the localities in East, Centre and South West Nagpur which would benefit 86,000 power con sumers, he further added.
