Nagpur is centrally situated and having all communication facilities with international airport. Therefore, efforts will be made to develop and make it export hub, said Vimla R, District Collector, here on Friday.
She was delivering her inaugural address at a one-day Export Conclave organised at Udyog Bhavan here. Dr V Sarman, Development Commissioner, Mihan, Shivkumar Rao, President of Vidarbha Economic Development of Council (VED), Suresh Rathi, President of Vidarbha Industry Association, A P Dharmadhikari, Joint Director, Industry, Santosh Kumar Singh, Chief Manager, Mihan, and prominent entrepreneurs participated in the programme.
Vimla R further said, Nagpur city is a geographically convenient place for communication, where Mihan and other areas are developing speedily. The manufacturers can export their products all over the world in view of the favourable situation prevailing here. It is a good opportunity for manufacturers/businessmen from different fields and hence they should also come forward to invest, she added.
In his speech, Dharmadhikari pointed out that the government was implementing policies for industry and export and giving incentives for new entrepreneurs for Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Global to Local programme. Shivkumar Rao spoke on Potential for Exports from Vidrbha. On the occasion, Bharti made a presentation on export promotion plan of the district as per the directives by the Central Government.
