The Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur (MAFSU) will observe its 10th Convocation ceremony on November 10 at Dr. Vesantrao Deshpande Smruti Sabhagruha, Civil Lines at 10 am.
Ritu Panghal from Nagpur Veterinary College will receive the highest seven gold and four silver medals for the year 2018-19.
The Chief Guest for the occasion will be Dr. Shekhar C. Mande, Secretary, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research and Director General, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi will deliver the convocation address.
Sunil Chhatrapal Kedar, Pro-Chancellor of the University and the Minister of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Sports and Youth welfare Government of Maharashtra would preside over the function and shall confer the degrees on hates. The event will be held online and offline mode www.mafsu.in
In this convocation, the degrees shall be conferred and medals would be awarded to the graduates of the academic year 2018-19, 2019-20 for veterinary, dairy technology and fisheries graduates and for the year 2020-21 to the graduates of dairy technology and fisheries. A total of 1253 candidates including 939 graduates, 275 post-graduates and 39 doctoral candidates would receive the degrees.
Apart from this, 59 gold medals, 15 silver medals and two emeritus awards with a cash prize of Rs. 25000/- each will be awarded to the students for their outstanding academic performance in this convocation. Further out of total 74 medals and two cash prizes, 22 medals and one cash prize have been grabbed by the girl students.
Along with Ritu Panghal, Nambiar Jasna Suresh from Mumbai Veterinary College, Mumbai will be receiving 5 gold and one cash prize for the year 2019-20.
