Two teams of forestmen from Nagpur and Gondia arrested 10 accused about to sell body parts of a leopard and seized 4 claws intact with nails, canines, whiskers and 3 bikes from them at Salekasa Junior College ground, Salekasa in Gondia district on Saturday evening.
N G Chandewar, Assistant Conservator of Forest, nagpur, informed that on a tip-off forestment in two teams laid a trap at the ground and arrested the accused. The leopard was killed by these persons in Kosamtarra jungle in July this year.
Offence has been registerd against them under relevant sections of Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
