Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur, in collaboration with Maharashtra State Biodiversity Board (MSBB) organised a National Moot Court Competition 2021 in which the team from Jindal Global Law School was declared as the winner.
Dr Sachin Tripathi, Co-Convener of the competition, announced the results. National law University, Assam, won the Best Memorial Award, whereas Harish Vardhan Yadav of Department of Law, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, won the Best Speaker award. A team from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, was declared as runners-up of the competition.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from top ten qualifying teams across the country. After preliminary round held on December 4, top four teams qualified for the semi-final round which was a knock-out road. Top two teams fought for the winner’s title in the final round. The first round was adjudged by Justice S B Shukre,Prof (Dr ) M K Ramesh, NLSIU, and Adv Sanjeet Purohit, Managing Partner at Juris Orbis.
Justice Shukre was the chief guest at the valedictory function in which Prof Ramesh, Sr Adv Sanjay Upadhyaya from Supreme Court, were the guests of honour. Dr Shukhvinder Singh Dari, Director, Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur, delivered welcome address while Praveen Srivastava, Member-Secretary of the MSBB, addressed the gathering. J Justin Mohan, Secretary, National Biodiversity Authority and S H Patil, Chairman, MSBB, were prominently present.
