Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) organised rallies in all the ten zones in the city on Saturday to create awareness among the citizens about importance of cleanliness.
The staff members of the corporation and representatives of voluntary organisations took active part in the rallies and enlighten the people on segregation of garbage, collecting wet and dry garbage in dustbins and avoiding use of plastic materials. The citizens extended encouraging response to the rallies and held in collecting the garbagde.
Bhuvaneswari S, Chief Executive Officer, Smart City, and Ram Joshi, Additional Municipal Commissioner, led the rallies under the guidance of Dayashankar Tiwari, Mayor, and Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner.
Deepraj Pardikar, Deputy Mayor, Ganesh Rathod, Prakash Warhade, Ashok Patil, Ghanashyam Pandhre, Vijay Humne, all Assistant Municipal Commissioner, zonal officers, corporator’s and others participated in the rallies in different areas to create awareness about importance of cleanliness.
