In view of growing Omicron infection, the under-graduate and post-graduate examinations of health sciences, conducted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, have been postponed.
The examinations of post-graduate courses, which were to start on January 17, will now be held from February 14.
The under-graduation examinations originally scheduled from January 31, will now be held from February 28.
The decision to postpone the examinations was taken as the services of student doctors may be required if the viral infection spreads at the present rate. The decision was taken during the meeting of Health Education Minister and pro-Chancellor of MUHS Amit Deshmukh; VC Lt Gen (Retd) Dr Madhuri Kanitkar; Health Education Department Secretary Dr Saurabh Vijay, Commission Virendra Singh, Director Dr Dilip Mhaisekar, Joint Director Dr Ajay Chandanwale, MUHS Registrar Dr Kalidas Chavan, Controller of Examinations Dr Ajit Pathak and other officers concerned.
