The Omicron variant of the coronavirus is wreaking havoc across the world. India has reported 5488 from 28 states and union territory on Thursday.
A total of 2162 persons have been recovered from Omicron till date.
Classified as a variant of concern (VoC) by the World Health Organization (WHO), Omicron is likely to become the dominant strain in the country in the near future, according to health experts.
According to the health experts, the early symptoms of omicron start with body ache, weakness, fatigue, headache and fever in the initial days.
A few days later the patient might even develop a cough and cold. This cough is sometimes dry, but the patient might also have water running from the nose, sneezing, etc. Typically, the cough would resolve over the next few days and around in 80 percent of the patients, fever is resolving within the first 3 days and if not, then that becomes a sign of moderate to severe infection which needs close monitoring.
