Noted singer Yo Yo Honey Singh has been directed to submit his voice sample to Panchpaoli Police Station. The order has been issued by by the District and Sessions Court, Nagpur.
The voice sample is required to be submitted between February 4 and 11, in connection with F.I.R. registered against him for singing and uploading vulgar song on internet.
The present order came to be passed by the court after a statement made by the investigating officer about non-cooperation in investigation. Anandpal Singh Bajjal had lodged a complaint against Honey Singh.
Adv. Raspal Singh Renu is representing the complainant.
The case is pending since April 27, 2015, when Singh was granted anticipatory bail by laying down certain conditions. The Investigating Officer had informed non-cooperation by the singer. A letter was issued to him on January 10, requiring his attendance on January 25. But he did not attend on the date.
Honey Singh has applied for further leave as he is to visit Dubai from January 29 to March 20.
APP argued that his voice sample is necessary for further investigation and he should not be allowed to go abroad. Honey Singh’s lawyer said that the singer is required to attend the programme, as agreed. However, he agreed to submit voice sample required by the Investigating Officer.
The Court, therefore has issued order to submit his voice sample.
