Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) in association with Vigyan Bharti, Vidarbha Pradesh and Vigyan Prasar will be celebrating “Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate’ week from February 22 to February 28 to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The week-long programmes will be inaugurated by DRM of Central Railway Richa Khare on February 22 at 11 am.
The director of Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Dr Rashmi Urdhwareshe would be present at the valedictory programme on February 28.
The series of programmes would include 75 expositions, 75 lectures, 75 films, 75 radio talks, 75 science literary activities, 75 books, 75 posters and 75 awards through hybrid mode.
Director of VNIT Dr P M Padole told reporters on Saturday that the festival will be conducted at seventy five institutions of repute throughout the country including VNIT simultaneously.
This exhibition will consist of films, videos, posters to explain the con tribution of Indian scien tists in the freedom strug gle. Similarly, lectures by eminent speakers from TIFR, CDAC, NRSC, DRDO Ion various scientists and science and technology developments would mark the week. Competitions for the students like quizzes, science elocution, painting, rangoli on Indian scientist and scientific devel opment would also be con ducted. Science and Technology bus would be parked at exhibition venue for three days from February 22.
More than 30 technical stalls by various scientific institutions and organisa tion of Nagpur and around Nagpur such as NEERI, Indian Railways, MAFSU, WCL, JNARDDC, MOIL, CCRI, CICR, AIIMS, solar industries, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd Ordnance Factory Ambazari Nagpur, Go-Vigyan Anusandhan
Kendra would display vari ous scientific models, video and posters to show their technologies and achievements since their inception and also the vision for next 25 years, P M Padole informed.
