The Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has decided to postpone the HSC exams scheduled on 5 and 7 March after the question papers have been burnt in the fire incident reported on Wednesday.Â
AS per the new update issued by MSBSHSE officials exams scheduled for will now be held on 5 and 7 April.
Teh development comes after a day when truck carrying question papers for the forthcoming higher secondary certificate (HSC) examinations caught fire in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra around 6 am on Wednesday.
Around 2.5 lakh question papers of 25 subjects, including Marathi, Hindi and other minor languages, were gutted in the fire.
A truck carrying ‘important and confidential papers’ of the upcoming Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination to Pune suffered heavy damage after it caught fire in the early hours of Wednesday on the Pune-Nashik Highway, said Ahmednagar Police.
