Solar energy based water scheme brings smiles on faces of tribals

Nagpur Zilla Parishad has brought smiles on the faces of aged persons, women, youths, farmers and children from Dongargaon-Pullar and Tidkepar tribal villages in Bhiwapur tehsil of Nagpur district by making available water facility through water pipeline scheme working on solar energy.

Rashmi Barve, President of Nagpur Zilla Parishad, dedicated the schemes to villagers at a function held on Wednesday. Addressing the gathering, she said, even after attaining 75 years to Independence the situation in tribal areas has not changed and the villages are still backward in many respects.

ZP has completed pipeline scheme on solar energy under Jaljivan Mission so as to make water supply to villagers through taps. The happiness being reflected on the faces of them is a receipt of appreciation given by them to ZP, she added.

Yogesh Kumbhejkar, Chief Executive Officer, ZP, Nemavali Mate, Chairman of Social Welfare Committee, Mamata Shende, Chairperson of Bhiwapur Panchayat Samiti, Shankar Dadmal, ZP Memb er, Nilesh Mankar, Deputy Executive Engineer, and villagers were present on the occasion.
