Grand farewell accorded to JDI, Ashok Dharmadhikari at VIA

Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) members consisting of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA), MIDC Industries Association (MIA) Hingna, Butibori Manufacturers Association (BMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Vidarbha Region, Kalmeshwar Industries Association (KIA), Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DICCI), Vidarbha Chapter and Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) Nagpur gave the grand farewell, at VIA Auditorium recently, to Joint Director of Industries (JDI), Nagpur Division, Ashok Dharmadhikari, who was a very cooperative and supportive nodal officer worked for industries.  

On the occasion, JDI Ashok Dharmadhikari was felicitated by offering a shawl, shreefal and a small token of appreciation.

In his farewell speech, Dharmadhikari advised to all industrial fraternity and particularly all associations to join hands and work together for social and common cause so it can bring glory to this area. He also suggested that associations need to form a hand holding forum to guide industries on how to make references, documentation and how to be present in the arbitration cases. He also advised the industrialists to keenly work for clusters formation, which will help common nature of industries for long term sustainability.

Incoming JDI Nagpur, Gajendra Bharti expressed that industries of this region will never forget a hard working and dedicated officer like Dharmadhikari. Industries need more officers like him, who can synergize between industries and the Government. He has truly set a benchmark for his successors.

Initially, Suresh Rathi, President – VIA, in his welcome address, gave  refreshed nostalgic memories of Dharmadhikari’s working and narrated about his close relationship with all industries association of Vidarbha region during COVID-19 pandemic and how he supported in tackling the tough situations. He was also deeply involved in preparation of Inter Regional Committee (IRC) Report with Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA), which was handed over to former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis. He worked as a Secretary for that IRC Committee which was headed by the Divisional Commissioner, Anup Kumar.

As a consequence of the effort of Dharmadhikari and VIA, current Industry Minister of Government of Maharashtra, Subhash Desai asked to submit the final deliberations to his Ministry through the Divisional Commissioner in coordination with Dharmadhikari and Gajendra Bharti, JDI, Nagpur.

Presidents of industries associations shared their personal experiences with him by Ish Mohan Garg, Chairman–CII, Vidarbha Zone; Pradeep Khandelwal, President–BMA; C G Shegaonkar, President–MIA; Shiv Kumar Rao, President-VED; Madhusudan Roongta, President-Chandrapur MIDC Industries Association and President-Federation of Industries Association; CA Julfesh Shah, Chairman-COSIA, Vidarbha Chapter; Gopal Wasnik from DICCI, Vidarbha Zone and Atul Pande, IPP-VIA also spoke on this occasion and expressed their views about his hard work, consistency and sincerely appreciated his 28 years of unparalleled service for the industries of this region. 

The dedication that he had for his work was unexcelled especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. During his chairmanship of MSME facilitation council, claims amounting more than Rs 10 crores were settled which made Nagpur division council topmost in the country as compared to other states in resolving the cases.

VIA MSME Chairman, Girish Deodhar introduced Dharmadhikari in a very unique and informal way. He started his service from Gadchiroli District and served almost all the districts of Vidarbha region.

On this occasion, JDI Nagpur, Gajendra Bharti, Ish Mohan Garg, who has taken over as a Chairman-CII, Vidarbha Zone and re-elected President of BMA, Pradeep Khandelwal were also felicitated by VIA.

Dr Suhas Buddhe, Vice President-VIA conducted the proceedings and also proposed a formal vote of thanks. S S Muddamwar, GM-DIC, Nagpur; Supriya Bawankule, GM-DIC, Wardha (Addl Charge); Prafull Doshi, Past President-VIA; Girdhari Mantri, Chairman – CSR Forum-VIA; Om Jajodia, Chairman – Agro Forum-VIA; Poonam Lala, Chairperson, LEW-VIA; Pradeep Maheshwari, VP-VED; CA Sachin Jajodia; CA Nitin Agrawal, Vijay Kumar from M&M; Shekhar Padgilwar from Padgilwar Agro; Rahul Kawade from Vaibhav Plasto and others were prominently present during the program.
