Itâ€™s a proud moment for Nagpur city as Asst. Professor Mrs. Shefali Rai Chouksey of Nagpur has been selected for representing India at Mrs. Universe Pageant 2022 in Seoul, South Korea among 100 delegates from all over the world. It is the 44th international event for socially active and career-oriented women. Mrs. Chouksey has achieved several milestones at a young age. She is an educator and trainer with varied experience, presently working at prestigious Dr. Ambedkar College, Nagpur. She will be working and presenting on issue of Domestic Violence. She is wife of Industrialist Mr. Saurabh Chouksey.
Mrs. Chouksey has organized international and national webinars in collaboration with government institutions like Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSME-DI), Silpakarman (Forbes under 30) and international organizations like Global Impact Network Ltd (showcased at Expo-Dubai 2020). She has also been coordinator for Bajaj Finserv CPBFI, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project for the college and faculty coordinator for coveted soft skills development programs like Unnati with Vidarbha Industries Association.
She is currently pursuing PhD in finance and has been a rank holder in Delhi University. Her research papers have been published in reputed international journals and presented at institutes of repute including IIM. She is socially engaged with the community by various organizations including VIA-LEW, blind girlsâ€™ school, charity school for destitute children and ISHA foundation for save soil initiative. She is an active member of Women Development Cell and strives to work for women and child welfare.
She has travelled around the world and lived through the length and breadth of India as she belongs to family of veterans with two generations having served in the Indian Army. She looks forward to work on the footsteps of her great grandfather Rai Bahadur, Hira Lal Rai ,a renowned personality with Bar at law from England in last century on whose honour the Department of Ancient History, RTMNU has named its museum. She is blessed with supportive in-laws Mr. Mahipal and Mrs. Saroj Chouksey. She dedicates her success to her parents Capt. Sachindra and Anupama Rai, husband Mr. Saurabh Chouksey and brother Shaurya Rai. The Preliminary Pageant shoot was completed successfully in collaboration with Shreeshivam -Central Indiaâ€™s leading ethnic wear brand, Moonlight Studio and Kirti Soni Studio.
