In yet another attempt to save the face from humiliating defeat and simmering discontent among senior party leaders all three members of Gandhi family — Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka, have decided to resign from party posts.
The resignations are likely to be tendered during the party meeting on Sunday.
Both Sonia and Rahul have done it earlier. But the leaders and workers still believe that the party cannot ‘survive’ without a member from the Gandhi family.
Whether the resignations are accepted or not remains to be seen. Who is the leader with mass appeal, who can rejuvenate the party, is another question.
