A running bus caught fire near medical square early this morning. This is the third such incident in the city in last 10 days. So far, no injuries or fatalities have been reported.
As primary reports fire started from engine area below drivers cabin.
Around 45 passengers were onboard when fire was first noticed. Extinguisher was available in drivers cabin but couldn’t use in panic.
Two fire tenders from cotton market fire station and sakkardara fire station attended the fire call.
Acting swiftly on the inputs, the squad of Fire Department rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
Earlier a truck had caught fire near Rahate colony and a transformer at Jhasi Rani square due to short circuit.
