A problem leopard that killed two children near WCL Colony during the last couple of days and created terror was finally caged in Shaktinagar on Saturday.
The leopard had killed two children in Urja Nagar and Durgapur areas that created sensation among the public during last some days. Forest Department had put up four cages with baits at the strategic points. Finally, the leopard landed in the cage that made people heave a sigh of relief.
Rahul Khade, Deputy Conservator of Forest, Chandrapur, appealed to WCL authorities and Gram Panchat office- bearers to discharge their responsibilities as well to citizens to remain alert while moving outside till the situation returns to normal.
