The Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning of G H Raisoni College of Engineering (GHRCE) Nagpur organized International AI Summit 3.0 on 25 th -26 th March 2022.
The main objective of the summit was to bring together industry, academia and research organizations to share and exchange knowledge and opportunities available in the emerging area of Artificial Intelligence and to provide a platform to faculties, students and industry representatives to present and deliberate the recent trends in the field of AI.
The summit witnessed a galaxy of speakers from India and Abroad. The Two day International AI Summit was inaugurated on March 25 at 10:00 am at Swami Vivekanand Conference Hall, G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering Nagpur at the hands of Jaidev Deshpande, Principal Data Scientist. Gramener, New Delhi in the presence of Guest of Honor Harshit Sharma, Senior Data Scientist, Rapido, Pune, Director GHRCE, Dr Sachin Untawale Dean R& D Dr Santosh jaju, Head of AI Prof. A. Thomas and CoE AIML, Dr Gopal Sakarkar.
Day one of the summit witnessed the Keynote address by Dr. Jaidev Deshpande on “AI for the 21 st century: building Strong Foundationâ€, followed by panel discussion on “Building Trust in AI through Design Transparency and Governance by panelist, Jaidev Deshpande, Gramener, New Delhi, Kalpit Bhawalkar, Konverge AI, Piyush from Stride Ahead, Delhi and Mr Harshit Sharma, Rapido.
Panel Discussion was moderated by Vedant Bahel, Final Year student of GHRCE. Harshit Sharma, Rapido Pune delivered Power Talk on “Supply Activation Model for Gig Economy Workforce†followed by Session by Mr Shantanu Dixit and Mr Abhijeet Sarkar from Infocepts Nagpur on the topic “Digital Transformation with AI.â€. Day One concluded with start up showcase with interesting startups on Virtual Farming, Video bots and Ekatra –Online Learning App were presented.
Day two of the summit commenced with launching of Hackathon by Hackatra. Followed by hackathon experience shared by Aditya Bobde and Atharva Khedkar students of VI Sem B.tech AI. A session by International speaker Saif Malan, Founding co-chair, AI Future Lab, Cananda on the topic “AI and the Age of Recovery†was organized followed by Key Note on “Explainable AI- How and why one needs to focus on building AI solutions with Explainability†by Sateesh Ambesange, Pragyan AI from Bangalore. Day two concluded with panel discussion on AI in 2030: The Age of autonomous systems†with panelist Satessh Ambesange, Pragyan AI, Ketan Paithankar, Konverge AI and Sheel Ghule, from NSSCDCL, Nagpur.
Incharge of Centre of Excellence in AI& ML. Dr. Gopal Sakarkar & Head of AI Department, Prof. A. Thomas were the coordinators of this Summit. The IEEE CIS Team, and students from Department of AI actively participated in the successful conduction of the event. The summit organizers have thanked all Speakers, Management, Deans, Director GHRCE and all committee members for their support to make this summit a success.
