Akola was the hottest place in Vidarbha on Saturday by recording the temperature of 43.5 degree C, followed by Amravati and Brahmapuri where the temperature was 42.8 degrees C. Nagpur, which registered maximum temperature of 39.0 degrees C on Friday, experienced it 40.6 degrees C today.
The temperature increased in Chandrapur from 39.4 degrees C to 41.2 degrees C within 24 hours while the lowest temperature was at Gadchiroli – 39.6 degrees C.
Following are the temperature figures in C at various districts of the region on Saturday: Gondia – 41.0, Wardha – 41.2, Yavatmal – 41.0, Buldana – 40.7, Washim – 40.5.
Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has forecast heat wave in Chandrapur, Yavatmal and Gadchiroli on April 26 and 27. There is no warning for any city in the region on April 24 and 25.
