International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is organising Jagannath Rath Yatra on July 5 from Poddareshwar Ram Mandir at 12 noon.
ISKCON could not organise rath yatra for the last two years owing to coronavirus pandemic but now it decided to organise grand rath yatra as COVID-19 cases decrease remarkably. The work of preparing the main chariot, taal, and flag has already started.
This year the chariot of Lord Jagannath will be in four colours, green, black, red and yellow along with special furnishings, informed Vishal Das of the Managing Committee, ISKCON Nagpur while addressing a press conference here the other day.
Necessary arrangements are being made in the temple for the yatra. A new chariot is being created this year. Loknath Swami, a disciple of ISKCON, founder acharya Srila Prabhupada and prominent personalities will participate in the yatra.
Giving information to the media, ISKCON spokesperson Dr. Shyamsundar Sharma said that the yatra would pass through Agrasen Chowk, Lal Imli Chowk, Tanga Stand, Gandhi Putla Chowk, Bachhraj Vyas Chowk, Gandhi Gate, Tilak statue, Subhash road and it would conclude at Geeta Mandir, Cotton Market.
