Nagpur Municipal Corporation has opened a control room for 24 hours to receive complaints from citizens regarding emergency services required due to heavy rains so that it can take immediate measures to sort out the problem.
Heavy rains lashed the city on Sunday and Monday that created emergency in various localities like water-logging, uprooting of trees, falling trees on DP, blowing of tin sheds, blocking of roads by excess water/tree felling and others.
The squads from different zones swung into action to provide relief to the people while Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator, was taking stock of the situation through Atal Behari Vajpayee City Operation Centre.
