The aspirants of SSC GD 2018 who were marching from Nagpur to Delhi to stage their protest because they never got appointment letters has been detained by Agra police.
According to the information the candidates reached Agra on July 15. All 160 students have now been detained by Agra Police.
According to priliminary information these students have been taken to “unknown place”, while six students are still kept at the Gurdwara where these candidates were resting.
Vishal Landge who was leading the march in a tweeted in Hindi “On the 46th day we are being harassed in the city of Agra at 4 am by police administration that we did not sleep through the night, how do you sleep”
It is also learnt that is Landge was nowhere seen in any of the buses(as alleged by his companions).
Staff Selection Commission i.e. SSC had taken out the recruitment of Constable General Duty in July 2018 for the recruitment of 54 thousand positions in Paramilitary Forces CRPF, ITBP, BSF, CISF, NIA and Assam Rifles which was later increased, however the students who passed the exam were recruited for 55 thousand posts only and remaining positions were vacant. After which there students started to protest.
As a result these candidates have been demonstrating for the last one and a half years demanding to fill these vacant posts.
