NASA has warned of record-breaking heat in Europe, Africa and Asia. The coloured photograph of the Earth received from the Earth Satellite indicates changes in climate.
In a larger part of Europe, Africa and Asia temperature is above 40 degrees Celsius (104 F) indicating severe heat. The blue colour of the Earth’s surface (crust) is fast changing to red because of the increasing temperature.
Steven Pawson, a scientist with NASA Goddard Space Flight Centre has stated that changes in the colour of cold regions from blue to red are clearly seen in the picture. The red colour indicates severe heat. The changing climate is a result of the Greenhouse effect, which may affect the flora and fauna on the Earth.
