The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday detained two persons in the murder case of chemist Umesh Kolhe in Amravati, Maharashtra.
According to preliminary information, both can be arrested soon and brought to Mumbai for further investigation.
Of the two people detained, one person is a Maulana of Namoona Masjid in Amravati and the other person is the driver of the main accused Irfan Sheikh, the mastermind of Umesh Kolhe murder case.
It was this driver who gave shelter to Irfan after the incident.
Chemist Umesh Kolhe, 54, died after being stabbed in the neck around 10 pm on June 21 when he was returning home after closing his shop.
