‘ And education should be the medium of inculcation of cultural and traditional value’ urged Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis while speaking on the occasion, organised to mark the inaugural of Bhavan’s B.P Vidya Mandir, Chinchbhuvan.
Saraswati, goddess of knowledge and the arts, embodies the wisdom. She is the river of consciousness that enlivens creation; she is the dawn-goddess whose rays dispel the darkness of ignorance. To invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Chinchbhuvan, Nagpur, organised an unveiling ceremony of the idol of goddess Saraswati, at the hands of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis.
The formal inauguration of the sixth school of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan at Chinchbhuvan, Nagpur, took place at the hands of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis. and Guest of Honour, Shri. Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MLC Former Cabinet Minister, Govt. Of Maharashtra on 22nd September 2022. Shri. Banwarilal Purohit, His Excellency Honourable Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Trustee, Vice President, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai, presided over this formal inaugural function.
The Programme started with unveiling of the Saraswati Idol and the Stone proceeded by lighting of traditional lamp, offering floral prayers to Goddess Saraswati and garlanding of the portraits of Kulapati K.M Munshi, founder of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and late Bhagwandas Purohit, the patriarch of Bhavan’s Schools in Nagpur, followed by ‘Sarvadharma’ prayer.
At the outset, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis unveiled the idol of
Goddess Saraswati. Shri Banwarilal Purohit, felicitated Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Shri. Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MLC Former Cabinet Minister, Govt. Of Maharashtra, with a shawl , shreefal, Memento and a bouquet.
During his addressal, Shri. Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MLC Former Cabinet Minister, Govt. Of Maharashtra spoke highly about Babuji, his mentor, who was spear heading in multi-dimensional domains in the educational field. He said it was a proud moment for the Vidharbha region as Bhavan remains dedicated to human excellence and human resource development. He assured that under the leadership of newly – formed government, the New Educational Policy would help India to scale new heights. He emphasized that this policy would help develop skill, empower and transform the students. He praised Bhavan school of Nagpur for “Gyan Yagya” that is dutifully performed.
While addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis proudly announced that Bhavans was playing a pivotal role in nurturing its students to become cultured and well-rounded personalities globally. He expounded that Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is bringing about a revolution in the field of education, where values are fostered and ethics are imbibed. He also opined that students passing this reputed institution are not just literates but holistically groomed personalities, who are able to express fearlessly, carve a niche and help in creation of an exemplar society in future.
In his oration, Shri. Banwarilal Purohit, His Excellency Honourable Governor of
Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Trustee, Vice -President, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai, opined that Bhavans is an institution, dedicated to create human excellence. ‘The foundation of Bhavans are laid on discipline and transparency which makes an institution ideal’, stated Shri. Banwarilal Purohit. He also shed light on the history of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, founded by Kulpati K.M. Munshi in 1938. He briefly explained how Bhavans has grown in to a big educational and cultural institution across India and abroad. He also highlighted the pivotal role played by Munshiji. He added that Bhavans has always stood as a symbol of country’s rich cultural diversity and is contributing meaningfully to process of nation building. He implored the audience to lead a simple life both in real and professional; maintain transparency; compromise with limited needs; not to imitate others; have faith in Almighty, irrespective of faith one belongs to; and he urged the gathering to shun themselves from ‘The Seven Social Sins’ as quoted by Mahatma Gandhi.
