The 29th Orange City Craft Festival and Fold Dance meet was inaugurated at the South-Central Zone Cultural centre, Civil Lines here on Friday. Project Director of Maha Metro Dr Brijesh Dixit, Additional Commissioner of Tribal Development Corporation Ravindra Thakre, and senior counsel Prashant Sathiyanathan were the guests of honour.
SCZCC Director Dr Deepak Khirwadkar and Assistant Director Deepak Kulkarni and Gopal Betawar were present.
Folk dances are a major attraction of the annual festival. Attractive items prepared by traditional artists, handloom weavers etc also make the festival attractive. The festival also has food zone.
The exhibition-cum-sale and folk dance festival will remain open up to January 22, fro0m 2 pm. The folk dances will be presented at 6.30 pm everyday. The entry ticket for the festival is Rs 30 per head.
