A tiger death was reported in Paoni Buffer area of Pench Tiger reserve, Maharashtra on 12th January, 2022. Four offenders were arrested and they were sent to forest custody upto 17th January by JMFC Ramtek Court. During the custody, accused Shri Vinod Chokhandre tried to escape from Forest custody and also attacked forest staff handling him. The RFO Shri Jayesh Tayde lodged a complaint against him in Deolapar police station. Police took him under custody from PTR and produced him before JMFC Ramtek. After due legal process, he was sent to MCR for 15 days.
Furthermore, few more missing body parts were seized from one of the accused. Besides, weapon used in the crime has also been seized. Search is on for absconding offenders.
MSEDCL has been contacted for necessary information and assistance in this electrocution case.
As the Forest custody ends tomorrow, arrested offenders will be produced before JMFC Ramtek for further proceedings.
