Young Indian opening batter Shubman Gill is making headlines these days both on and off the field. On the field, he is scoring runs for fun.
Since the start of 2023, he has played in all 12 matches for India and has scored four centuries. Gill scored his first century of 2023 on January 15 against Sri Lanka and then built on that performance by making his maiden ODI double century in the next game, which he played against New Zealand in Hyderabad.

Gill scored his first century of 2023 on January 15 against Sri Lanka and then built on that performance by making his maiden ODI double century in the next game, which he played against New Zealand in Hyderabad on January 18. In that match, Gill faced a total of 149 deliveries to score 208 runs. The 23-year- old continued his ace form and scored another century in the third ODI, and then in the series decider of a three-match T20I series against the Black Caps, he scored his maiden T201 century as well.

Gill remained unbeaten on 126 runs from 63 balls in the third T201 which was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 1. During his stay at the crease, he broke Virat Kohli’s record and became the highest individual scorer for India in T20ls. During the third T201, when Gill was on fire, a picture of one of his female fans, who was holding a placard that read, “Tinder Shubman se match karado”, went viral on the internet.

And more spice to that viral photo was added by senior Indian pacer Umesh Yadav on Friday night, who took to Twitter to poke fun at Shubman by sharing multiple pictures of hoardings in Nagpur city that featured the pictures of the viral fangirl with a placard. On the hoardings, it was written, “Shubman idhar toh dekh lo”. Umesh took note of it and tweeted, “Poora Nagpur bol raha hai, @ShubmanGill ab toh dekh le.”
The 35-year-old pacer’s tweet also went viral on the internet, and now, taking note of it, Gill has reacted by sharing a video with a caption, “Dekh toh liya, ab tum dekho theek se. @Tinder_India made me do it #TinderIndia #ad.”
In the video, the 23-year-old can be seen showing off his swag and later having a Tinder profile in which his bio read, “Tera hero idhar hai”.
