Dr Sanjay Kolte, President of the ZTCC, stated that a family from Gondia was unable to donate the organs of a member because the city lacked the necessary facilities. Dr Sanjay Kolte said “Another donation was missed due to the family refusing to shift the donor from Gondia. They were willing to donate if harvesting was done there. Request all hospitals to apply for Non- Transplant Organ Retrieval centres (NTORC) so that such opportunities don’t go to waste. Please work towards mobilising people for more donations and hospitals for reporting more brain deaths.”
