In association with Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation and Nagpur Municipal Corporation, a ‘Freedom to Walk, Cycle and Run’ program will be organized at Zero Mile Metro Station on Wednesday, February 15 at 6:30 am to mark Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Cyclothon is organized as per the directives of Smart City Mission, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Union Government.
The objective behind this program is to reduce carbon emissions in the environment and promote non-motorized transport. Eminent citizens of the city, public representatives and administrative officers will be actively contributing in this program. Under Freedom to Walk, Cycle and Run, the Cyclothon will start from Zero Mile Metro Station (Freedom Park) on Wednesday morning at 6:30 am and will be organized by Science Institute, Akashvani Chowk, Tirpude College, CSIR – CIMFR, CP Club, Ladies Club, Akashvani Chowk. , will return to Freedom Park via the Science Institute route. Chief Executive Officer of Nagpur Smart City Mr. Ajay Gulhane has appealed to citizens to attend in large numbers for this innovative initiative.
