Even though the daytime temperature in the first week of April is below average, one can already feel the arrival of summer. Since 2016, the temperature in April has exceeded 44 degrees Celsius four times. Even so, the temperature even rose to 47 C in 2009. By the middle of April, it’s possible that the heat will become more intense.

Nagpur recorded maxi- mum day temperature at 37.4 degrees C on Monday, which was two degrees below aver- age. The temperature in other districts of Vidarbha, excluding Gondia and Gad- chiroli, is in average range. Wardha and Akola reg- istered the highest tempera- tures at 39.3 and 39 degrees C respectively on Monday while Yavatmal recorded 39.5 degrees C. Amravati was 38.2, Brahmapuri – 39.4 and Chandrapur-38.2.
There is also an increase in night temperature. It in- creased by 2.3 degrees C in the last 24 hours in Nagpur and reached 21.3. It was in the range of 19 to 22 degrees C in all the other districts of region.
