After a brief respite of rains in Vidarbha region for two days, the usual hot summer and the scorching heat have begun. People have started sweating right from morning till late at night. The temperature in Nagpur has touched 40 degrees, which is the third lowest in Vidarbha region.
The higher temperature in Nagpur on Wednesday was recorded at 39.4 degrees. Chandrapur, Akola, Amravati, Brahmapuri, Gondia, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal have recorded temperatures above 40 degrees. Only Buldana with 38.4 and Gadchiroli with 37.4 degrees have recorded temperatures lower than Nagpur.
Chandrapur was the hottest place in Vidarbha region with 42.2 degrees. It is followed by Brahmapuri, which registered the highest temperature at 42 degrees.
The temperature in other places in the region were – Akola- 41.1, Amravati – 41.4, Gondia – 40.4, Wardha – 41.1, Washim – 40 and Yavatmal – 41 degrees.
Vidarbha is known for its very hot summer. The temperature has already crossed 40 degrees in the second week of April.
